Clive McMinn – Chairman
Clive joins the CGi with 40 years’ experience in accounting, insurance and captive insurance, trust, HR and payroll.
Resident and working in Guernsey since 1978, Clive is a Chartered Accountant and his most recent role was as Finance Director and Compliance Officer for Bachmann HR Marine Guernsey Limited.
He is now a sole trader, offering consultancy and non-executive director services through his business, Maccounting and Compliance Services.
He also provides accountancy, tax and general business administration and advice.
Richard qualified as a Chartered Accountant and then moved into banking and the venture capital industry before it was called ‘private equity’. He then became involved the motor industry through the purchase of a group of motor dealerships in the Midlands, building it to a substantial listed company. However, his main interest remained with smaller business so he set up his own small investment company investing in SMEs.
Richard moved to Guernsey in 1996 where he has become a shareholder and director of local companies, including Aiglle Flight Support. He holds business interests in Europe and is a director of UK listed companies.
Martyn Langlois – Deputy Chairman
Martyn is the son of a tomato grower and has always had a keen interest in horticulture. Martyn furthered his career by studying in St Albans at the Hertfordshire College of Agriculture and Horticulture, taking a three year Diploma in Glasshouse Production.
On returning to Guernsey, Martyn worked for R J Le Huray Ltd for 12 before moving to Channel Express as General Manager to look after the company’s air freight and flower distribution business. Channel Express became part of the Ferryspeed Group of companies.
Martyn is Chairman of the Guernsey Growers Co-Operative and member of the Transport Licensing Committee.
Alan is the President of the Guernsey Growers Association and comes from a local family of farmers and growers. He was educated at Castel School and Elizabeth College gained an HND in Commercial Horticulture at Writtle Agricultural College. After working for a South Coast Nursery for four years he returned to the Island and worked for The Horticultural Advisory Service for five years.
Alan was appointed joint Senior Manager of Delamore Guernsey Ltd and for the last 11 years has worked for the Guernsey Clematis Nursery as Technical Manager.
Alan is Sales & Marketing Director at Fusion Systems and is the IT Advisor on the CGi Committee. He has been particularly involved in the CGI’s Secondary schools computer clubs initiative to encourage coding skills among young people. Associated with that is organising the IT Challenge.
Kimberly is originally from Seattle in the USA. After finishing education she worked in sales and has enjoyed several careers in a variety of industries, from office equipment sales, real estate, senior cabin crew and as a GM for an aviation company locally.
Her current role is as Head of Customer Services for an online gaming company, where she has gained considerable experience of the industry.
Pete is a qualified accountant and is currently financial controller at Specsavers, based in the Guernsey office at La Villiaze and is responsible for a number of the group office entities.
He has also held treasurer and director/trustee roles in a number of charity & not-for-profit organisations, most recently including the Bailiwick of Guernsey Scout Association and the Guernsey Velo Club LBG.
Ian Le Moigne – Managing Director
Ian works for Condor Ferries, handling the public relations and communications and for Liquid PR, working with a number of local, pan-island and international clients.
His background is in marketing and PR, having qualified to post graduate level and spent the past 30 years in these disciplines locally, in the UK, Far East and in France.
Tony has been involved with the Guernsey Enterprise Agency (GEA), now called Startup Guernsey since the early 1980’s. At that time he was a civil servant and was involved with supporting local industry and as part of that work it was decided to help create the GEA. His main role in the civil service was promoting local businesses and that involved marketing and business development.
After 33 years in the civil service, Tony left to start his own tour business. In recent years he has been Captain of his golf club, become Branch Officer for the IoD Guernsey, published a novel and continues to build websites for local organisations.
Martyn is Managing Director of Polar Instruments. He began his career at Tektronix in the early 1980s where he was responsible for test engineering on portable oscilloscopes. Joined Polar in 1990 and headed up for the design of Polar’s multilayer PCB short circuit locator, Martyn was appointed CEO in January 2010.
Martyn writes for a number of PCB industry publications and contributes to IPC High Speed standards development activities. Chartered Director and a Fellow of the IoD. In 2017 Martyn published ‘The printed circuit designers’ guide to Secrets of High-Speed PCBs.’
Sally-Ann is the Chief Operating Officer of Guernsey Electricity Ltd and a Director of Channel Islands Electricity Grid (CIEG).
Sally-Ann is an Electrical Engineer with over thirty years’ experience in the power and submarine cable market. She holds an MBA and has worked in Europe and overseas as an energy economist, power systems engineer and consultant.
